Unifying Mathematics

(by Dlanorrenrag*)

Unifying Mathematics:

For all we can know, “Whatever” is The ultimate essence, aether, Higgs boson mechanism, God particle, super string, universal membrane, or ultimate particle may just as well be “empty space.”

Of course, imagining different models for “IT” helps us formulate tests and chains of reasoning that seem to lead us to ever more accurate mathematical formulas. Imagining fine particles, force carriers, spins, strings, and membranes tends to help us improve our mathematical capabilities and empirical predictions.

Even though we may never know what IT is, we may derive a unifying mathematical formula. An ideal, unifying, mathematical formula for modeling all of Nature’s measurable parameters should be complete, consistent, correspondent, coherent, and convertible. It should model all things as being in all natural respects in continuous balance, even as they move towards change, often catalyzing to cataclysmic change.

Still, such formula will not account for the ultimate parameter. Mathematics will remain powerless to account for what “IT” is, or to account for how or why each bit or nit of each specific choice or event should become manifest within each set of degrees of freedom. The ultimate formula that we may derive will not account for how or why we are able to derive it.

In ironic or perfect homage to Occam’s Razor, the ultimate subject for such formula may just as well be considered to relate to “empty space,” as in, a set number of fundamental units of space.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Living_systems_theory :
Miller says the concepts of space, time, matter, energy, and information are essential to his theory because the living systems exist in space and are made of matter and energy organized by information. Miller’s theory of living systems employs two sorts of spaces: physical or geographical space, and conceptual or abstracted spaces. Time is the fundamental "fourth dimension" of the physical space-time continuum/spiral. Matter is anything that has mass and occupies physical space. Mass and energy are equivalent as one can be converted into the other. Information refers to the degrees of freedom that exist in a given situation to choose among signals, symbols, messages, or patterns to be transmitted.
